With Ramadan fast approaching, every Muslim should prioritize ensuring that their fast is valid and accepted by Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. The quality of our spiritual experiences in this blessed month is deeply connected to the correctness of our fasting. Muslims Connected presents this essential introductory course on the Fiqh of Fasting, covering fundamental rulings such as when Ramadan officially begins, who is obligated to fast, and what conditions must be met for a valid fast. Additionally, we will discuss what nullifies the fast, the rulings on Fidya (compensation for missed fasts), and the obligation of Zakat al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan. This course is designed both for those new to fasting and for those looking to refresh their understanding. Course Activities

Shaykh Abdurragmaan Khan

Shaykh Abdurragmaan Khan is the Rector of Dar al-Turath al-Islami (DTI), co-founder of the Mahabbah Foundation, and Mufti of the Muslim Judicial Council (MJC). A student of al-Ḥabīb ‘Umar bin Ḥafīẓ and the late Mufti Tauha Karaan, he memorized the Qur’an at 16 under Shaykh Ismail Londt and graduated from DUAI in 2006, specializing in fatwa and Islamic finance. He founded DTI in 2009 and the Mahabbah Foundation in 2011. Shaykh Abdurragmaan has served on the MJC Fatwa Committee since 2013 and holds ijazahs in Qur’anic recitation and Islamic sciences. As an experienced teacher and da’iyah, he actively teaches, appears on radio, and travels internationally for da’wah.
